Journal Overview

Journal of Statistical Research (JSR) is the official journal of the Institute of Statistical Research and Training (ISRT), University of Dhaka since 1970. JSR is an international peer-reviewed scholarly journal providing a forum for transferring and communicating statistical knowledge across the globe. It publishes original research articles in the areas of both theoretical and applied statistics. All papers submitted to JSR go through a rigorous review process. The journal is published twice a year, one in June and the other in December.

Aims and scope: JSR publishes original contributions that advance statistical theory and methodology. Submissions should present novel or improved methods of data analysis, supported by analytical or simulation-based validation, with comparisons to existing approaches and discussion of their impact on statistical practice. The journal also welcomes innovative applications of advanced statistical methods that address important research questions. Application-oriented papers are expected to demonstrate methodological novelty or adaptation through well-motivated examples drawn from real experimental or observational data. In addition, the journal aims to educate the statistics and broader research communities by publishing authoritative reviews and tutorials on contemporary statistical methods.

Journal abstracting and indexing: JSR is indexed in Scopus, SJR, Crossref, and BanglaJol.
